  Nearly three hours—and this is only part one?

  Feels like a Disney Channel Original Movie with a bigger budget—overly glossy, lacking depth, and aimed more at brand recognition than true storytelling. Everything about it feels carefully engineered to be perfect as bite-sized TikTok ready clips. But the internet says it's good I guess.

  I unequivocally love bad movies. I spent the multiple lockdowns in 2020 watching the worst movies of all time and managed to get a good list of 100. It's great to see absolutely awful pieces of crap are still getting made. On to the list you go you ridiculous bit of nonsense. I'm still laughing.

  Oh and Madeline McGraw is so brilliant The Black Phone that this must have been the best lesson ever on how not to act.

  Excalibur 1981

  Deary me that is one heck of a chaotic mess. I actually liked it for the most part, the Arthurian legend is wonderful so it has that going for it. On numerous occasions though, I forgot it was Excalibur and not Monty Python. A small thing to note, John Boorman cast and directed his own naked daughter getting raped. It's a really confusing fact that I can't not address.
