  Clive Owen crazy swagged out in this. Can’t believe he was 45 here. I don’t think his usual deadbeat thing entirely works with the script but he’s compelling. Looks gorgeous, love the use of architecture. Very reminiscent of Quantum of Solace. Tom Tykwer seems like the sort of safe pair of hands they’d get to direct a Bond film. Surprised he hasn’t based on this

  it’s pretty entertaining on a surface level but the politics of this are completely abhorrent. sorkin is such a fucking grifter that he’s taken a story centring around anti-war anti-capitalist politics and refocused on boring fucking legalese and how smart these lawyers are and how silly and stupid and reckless the chicago 7 (8) are. im struggling to put my thoughts on this into a cohesive argument but I think it can best be summarised by the fact he paints…
