Captain America: Brave New World 2025
Despite reviews I had a sliver of hope for this one that was unfortunately shot down quite quickly. The performances, storyline, quick pacing and lack of stakes combined for a film that left me un-entertained. Which is exactly what you want from a Marvel movie.
There were some strong action moments and 1 solid laugh that I can recall. Red hulk was pretty cool when he arrived in the last 15 minutes. Anthony Mackie was charismatic but let down by the rest of the film.

The Monkey 2025
My favourite film this year so far. As a huge Stephen King fan, this one was an absolute hit. Fun and punchy. Despite chaos from the opening scene, the film didn’t take itself too seriously and had the conversational narrative that King himself excels at. Great cast, Theo James was the right man for the lead. Don’t call it a toy!!
