Fantastic! Can’t believe I’d never heard of this. Seriously gives interstellar a run for its money in terms of its approach to similar themes. Should (if it’s not already) definitely be a part of the modern sci-fi cannon.
97 mins is a perfect runtime, never outstays its welcome or dwells on the unimportant details of afterwards as other films in this vein might’ve. Does its thing beautifully and bails. Feels like a proper sticky film.
What a fucking weird film.
However baffled I was at parts, I’d rather watch this than another remake, retelling, sequel, prequel etc.
Tonally all over the place and with some wet ass satire (wtf was the sauce thing? And trump rufallo?), I still had a great time with this at the cinema.
Every movie should be mandated to have a min of 5 mins Tim Key screen time that could easily be cut without losing anything 🔑🔑
