This was an absolutely beautiful movie. I do feel like the English voice actors were a little weak but I’m sure the Japanese voice actors were better. Though it shows some signs of aging, this is spectacular for 1997 animation. You know a movie is good when you are two hours in and nothing has happened as you expected. The movie’s message is very inspiring: only if humans and nature live together can we all survive. I think I like Spirited Away better but this seems to be another Ghibli hit.

Bullet Train 2022
Kind of a stupid movie but it was good. Brian Tyree Henry was the best part of the movie. Brad Pitt is always a good actor. Was not expecting to see Ryan Reynolds. I felt like the dialogue at the start of the third act was a bit stupid at times. The action sequences were great, especially the last fight between the Elder and the White Death. I liked the mid-credit scene. Definitely a fun movie, that actually had a decent plot. At first I thought it was stupid but I thought it was we’ll written.

Good but could have been much better. That coffin scene was nuts. The effects were ok but I feel like somehow the first movie was better. I guess this one had more practical effects. The kung fu sensei reminded me of Sensei Wu with his beard and how he threw it around. I thought this was a bit too much of a feel good movie. I was expecting a different ending. This one also didn’t feel as creative with like different mediums (shadows, animated scenes). There wasn’t enough action. First one was better but I’m being a harsh critic - this was still a good movie.
