Three friends must confront a sinister undertaker called the Tall Man, elude his spherical chrome killing device, and escape a fate worse than death. A strange nightmarish like film with interesting characters. The Tall Man is a great, memorable villain who pops up throughout the film unexpectedly. Mike and Jody are good protagonists. Very creepy visuals that keeps your attention and makes the messy story not as noticable.

A famous pianist struggling with stage fright late in his career finds inspiration with a free spirited music critic. A subtle little film with Patrick Stewart giving a quiet yet powerful performance. Katie Holmes plays the music critic and does a nice job. I've liked her since Batman Begins and thought it was a shame they didn't bring her back for the sequel. In this film she holds her own with Stewart. Giancarlo Esposito plays his agent and is also quite good. The movie is probably not for everyone but I found it really interesting and the score is spectacular. It was all piano based.

Decent Christmas horror film. Malcolm McDowell and Jaime King star in this seasonal slasher. It's very gorey, sleazy and somewhat fun. The story is a mess with the ending and reveal of the killer Santa leaving me saying huh. The director really goes overboard with the lens flares so much so that the flashlights look like lightsabers. Despite it's faults I come back to it almost every December.
