Second Studio Ghibli movie I’ve watched. Difficult to get used to the storyline of these movies. It feels like they’re just making it up as they go. Great sound design though.

The doc represented both sides of the argument well. Those in favor of Helvetica argue that type shouldn’t be expressive; it should be used to transmit information. A typeface has succeeded when you don’t know it’s there. Opponents say that it’s the face of authority, standardization, and capitalism. Type is a tool to dress up your message and introduce subjectivity. You aren’t effectively communicating if you aren’t using it to the fullest.
