The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Gimli is honestly the only person in Middle Earth that purposefully tries to destroy the Ring—Isildur has the opportunity and says no, and then 3000 years later Frodo does the same thing in Return of the King. Sméagol is actually the one to destroy it, entirely by accident.

Guy Ritchie's The Covenant 2023
The Letterboxd one-sentence synopsis really fails to capture what happens in this film, it’s in three acts and there are obvious places where it switches. It’s good but sad because it’s not true, or even based on true events. It’s meant to honor the interpreters in the middle east during the 20 year war on terror but after we f*cked that up so bad that we had to dip, many many of them were left to die or worse. Not really a political commentary thank god
