A lesson in how to use CGI properly, Edwards creates a world which sucks you in for the whole runtime. While the plot occasionally stumbles over a few clichés, it’s always rooted in human emotion whilst exploring ever relevant ideas around war against the ‘other’. An original Sci-Fi film, a rarity these days, which should be seen in cinemas while you can.

The Babadook 2014
An original and thought-provoking film that keeps you guessing until the very end. The final act wraps things up nicely from a thematic standpoint, brilliant low-key lighting cinematography to create a chilling and tense atmosphere throughout and solid acting from the two leads.
