Jack carries this movie so hard, so core for me, and Burton's Gotham is a gothic dream. All the side characters are annoying but love it when superhero movies have style.

Manhunter 1986
I can forgive a few things in movie if it makes me feel a certain way. This is what Michael Mann successfully does in this film. So visceral and dreamlike, we are in his world. As I go down this Hannibal rabbit hole I feel like this movie is not talked about enough. Gorgeous film, terrifying, obsessive, and truly a banger of the 80’s. Idk if I would be more or less terrified if I didn’t watch succession before I saw Logan Roy as Hannibal Lecktor.

Watching this movie puts Jan 20 into perspective in the best way. I read the book last year and this has always been one of my favorite movies and even more now. Personally, my favorite Spike Lee and Denzel Washington performance ever. Perfect example of a not boring bio pic. The spectacle and scale to see Detroit Red turn into one of the greatest civil rights voices of all time is truly magnificent! This movie makes me sob like no other movie in the world!
