not much of a review but I would say the book is slightly better.

atypical for a bonnie and clyde-type story, wanda explores the mundaneness of life by utilising uncomfortable silences, uncomfortable dialogue and uncomfortable long takes that emphasise Wanda's innocence and isolation, aswell as her naivety to escape life and explore her fantasies. A distant ancestor to Gallo's Buffalo '66 with its exploration of character.
