Rear Window 1954
I personally feel like something more interesting than this could’ve been done with a character of Jeffries’ depth. I’m not a huge fan of how long Hitchcock takes to get to plot points in his films. I did however really like how easy it was to tell that Jeffries was becoming more and more invested and how it affected his standing relationships. They often feasted him about being snoopy and it was funny to see because I could see myself being both Jeffries and teasing him about it.
