  Michael Mann’s first film after working in TV, and the one James Caan was most proud of alongside his performance in The Godfather.

  For me, Caan’s performance as Frank, a professional safe cracker, is his finest hour. He oozes charisma and is impossible to take your eyes off, but also gives a complex and subtle performance with a dash of intensity.

  I present to you: Manhunter.

  In my opinion, a film that has become more appreciated and beloved in the years since it’s original release back in 1986. I also consider this to be Michael Mann’s finest work.
