  such a fun fucking movie. it’s dumb and funny and just so good. honestly it sounds silly but if you’re gonna watch this watch the mythical kitchen of last meals with jake johnson on youtube before you do bc they gave a lot of insight to what certain moments were really truly about and just wow. it’s such a fun watch and knowing it was a passion project of his i just loved it and have so much more love and respect for him now :)

  i don’t have articulate thoughts about how much i loved this film but it was such a fun and beautiful and important watch as a woman, actress, and filmmaker. every detail was so masterful and the storytelling was perfect. oscar noms all around or else!!

  i have never been so emotionally affect by a movie for literal hours after. i will think of this movie everyday. i think this is a perfect movie for here and now (especially my own here and now) but god there is nothing more special than girlhood and watching this with your best friend you used to play barbies/monster high with growing up :’) i cant wait to see it again with my mom and sister
