Movie was hitting every note for me until the ending. Paul Mescal does a great job as Lucius. I did end up enjoying his character and thought this ended up being a good expansion on the story. But Denzel stole the show. Far and away the most interesting character. He elevates every scene he’s in and is the character we were all watching throughout the film. This film is a masterpiece! It feels like I am watching Sophie’s memories play out in front me. Like I’m there on vacation with them. Have had to watch this twice for all the hidden moments with Calum as well. So tragic seeing the differing perspectives in this film. Sophie’s perspective and Calums perspective. And that ending was crushing. Incredible work from the entire cast and crew!
