whilst the story itself did feel a bit lacklustre given the exciting premise of chancing upon former memories and the unexpected ways they affect our present, the animation is well-done! some of the shots are going to linger in my mind for long.

meditative film to a fault, i think. while charlotte rampling's performance here left me heartbroken, trying to reel in information from every character's point of view broke my brain a bit. it was an easy 3 1/2 for me, but rampling's grace in trying to rein it all in, especially after the revelation and request in the last moments, makes this a 4. beautiful cinematography, helps in setting the landscape into the story
