Wow such an honest depiction of relationships and just humanity as a whole, what it feels like to be a person in this world trying your best - to balance navigating your full potential everyday through both your feelings and thoughts. The film was disorienting in nature which sometimes made it hard to feel focused in and fully along for the ride of Joel and Clementine’s relationship - but that was the point. I was intrigued the entire time, however I didn’t feel emotionally invested because the characters felt a little flat for me. The cinematography was stunning and the score was captivating. Great performances from the two leads. I liked how there was a society of cannibals, they were both apart of and separate from the world.
