Crazy this came out all the way back in 2016. This has had a crazy growth, especially for the level of violence in it. I think it helps that it isn't truly black or heartless; it's kinda funny, and it's got spunk.
It's not a favorite, nowhere near. It looks good for a $40k budget and the actors are serviceable, but there's really only 2 things here that are worth watching for: Art the Clown and the kills. It's legendary at this point, and no one is gonna praise it for it's cinematography. It's all decent throughout, but it never excels beyond shock factor.

The Animatrix 2003
There are no anime anthology that aren't mixed bags. But this one is kinda unique. It started that trend to some degree, and it definitely set a bar. Everything here is interesting, some of it is beautiful, there's even some that I would call required viewing.
But each one is so different than the movies. They're a little silly at times, overserious at others. Some are too hardboiled, others are too ethereal. But they all have strong connective tissue, and…Translated from by

The Andromeda Strain 1971
This made me realize, there is such a thing as being TOO book-accurate.
My cousin described this best: it is procedural. Not A procedural, though you could describe it that way too. It is simply ponderously slow, setting up premise, characters, stakes, lore, developments and climax in slow, exacting steps. I didn't think they would include such a throw-away bit as the sexagenarian with a sultry voice, but they did. I didn't think they'd show every shot of a robot…Translated from by -
Randy Writes a Novel 2019
This is it. Randy's greatest work outside of the Black and White Song.
In all seriousness, I always hope Randy can top this for me. But this currently stands as my favorite special he's ever done. No reused material like Last Temptation, no timeline stuff like Privilege, no awkward crowd work like Sober or Druggles, and certainly no framing device struggles like Feltopia. Every word here is the final draft of this tour, every bit is funny, every moment of…Translated from by
