Art that has something to say yet doesn't spell it out. I wish these kinds of films were more common. This was funnier than I'd expected, and it was simultaneously sadder than I expected, and it was the most Irish thing I've ever watched.

The Dead Don't Hurt 2023
The film is directed, scored, starred in, and written by Aragorn, and he excels in each category, but perhaps his greatest choice here was to cast (and write for) Vicky Krieps, who portays a lovable, earnest, pure human being, something that is rarely pulled off so effectively.
Superb cinematography, poignant music, tasteful choices in directing, and a marriage of immersive ruthlessness and touching romanticism make this quite memorable.
