Megalopolis 2024
When the cinema is full of exclusively middle aged men, who chuckle at the weirdest moments in the film, you know something is wrong with it. The incoherence of wanna-be-visionary-genius film doesn't translate into what the film became. It brings up the question of what is the direction that cinema is heading towards? And why this film is going against the grain, and perhaps why it's actually a good thing.
Bizarre, uncomprehensive piece, that left me confused. To be revisited, in some time.

It's a good film, really good at times, however by the end of it I couldn't escape the obvious Lady Bird vibe, especially with Saoirse Ronan and almost identical film poster. Would be more authentic without this reference.
