Embarrassed to admit that I watched this and didn’t hate it

20 year old me fully laughed this up. Some funny writing. Teared up during the “I’ve always wanted a brothaaaa” song sitting next to the lil bro.

Scar’s villain ark came too quick however. You telling me brotha tweaking over gyal?! Who they just met. Enough to want him deaddddd?? Is it ever that serioussss

See, to a type of viewer, this film might come off as incredulous, all high and mighty, hysterical- whatever you want to call it. And don’t get me wrong, from a particular lens, I get that. But to the viewer that knows of this grace, the scenes of this movie might be all too familiar. Despite the film neeeding some polishing here and there, there are some so very precious lessons here about forgiveness, community, service and prayer, portrayed through some clever filming that absolutely leaves a mark.
