  I can't decide if I liked it or not. I've never understood the appeal of The Big Lebowski either, though I love O Brother Where Art Thou and enjoyed A Serious Man and Inside Llewyn Davis, so I don't know, maybe Coen brothers are just a bit hit or miss for me.   A Bogart-like pig with a heart of gold. I think this proves there just aren't any bad Miyazaki movies.

  Zosia Mamet in a more stereotypically indie alternate version of a Girls universe (more Gerwig than Dunham). Everyone lives in an impossibly gorgeous apartment building reserved for artsy white snowflakes, everyone is beautiful in a slightly unconventional way, everyone lives happily ever after (we assume).

  A lovely queer Asian rom-com that I hadn't heard of before "The Half of It" came out on Netflix. Turns out Awkwafina and Lulu Wang were fans of the director Alice Wu as a trailblazer for Asian-American cinema when they were growing up. The shots of Chinese families sitting around a circular table reminded me of similar takes in The Farewell.
