mickey is like an everyday guy of our damned planet earth: someone whose life is expendable for the sake of work. in that sense, the story is down to earth eventhough it is a sci-fi. the immigration to space is an escape to survive for a lesser man, whereas for a baron main motives of 'going to mars' is a matter of exploitation, looting and colonization which sounds more candid to me compared to what dipshit elon sells.
