  Crazy how you can make a war movie without focusing on a character and making it the hero as usual. There's almost no character development which is unusual for a movie of such genre. Then again Nolan doesn't fail to impress, his directing and technical accomplishments in this movie are milestones in this craft.

  I don’t think I grasped this movie too well. The pacing was not so good, the sets were beautiful, the cinematography was solid, the acting was alright. I can appreciate it for what it is, but not much more. It definitively feels like an epic in all its majesty, but I left the theater feeling like something was missing.
