I remember watching White Sun in movie hall back in 2016 and it was the best Nepali movie I’ve ever watched and to this time, it still is. It is a movie of abandoned houses, abandoned relations, abandoned promises and abandoned progress. The movie touches upon all issues that was a result of 10 years long Maoist Movement in Nepal. The movement which resulted in death of 17,000+ people in Nepal, displaced several thousands from villages and left them empty…

The Great Indian Kitchen 2021
As the movie progresses, it becomes less about elaborate process of food making and more about how mundane and repetitive everyday life of women is in Indian and most South Asian family. It also makes you more and more enraged towards male characters in the movie and in life whom you might have been yourself or encountered growing up. Thank you for this movie Jeo Baby!!
