  Purposeful visual style that provides a good twist on retro aesthetics.

  Great, purposeful shots. Good dialogue but I wish the characters would talk 30% less.

  Provides what it aims for. Does not overstay its welcome.

  Last third is tonally confused and somewhat clumsy.

  It has a notable ending for cinema history in my opinion. I can't say much without spoiling.

  Good musical score on this one. It's also not overbearing. I liked the quiet moments.

  I did not regret watching it.

  Second screen type, high schooler level dialogue. Bad plot planning.

  CGI was not great but that's fine by me.

  One character has a lot of attitude that goes unaddressed by other characters.

  Not a waste of time but I didn't like it.

  The unique premise makes it watchable. The framing makes it horrifying. This is a not a romance movie. You can tell a dude who writes action movies wrote it. This is horror.

  Still, I kinda enjoyed my time with it. I'm a sucker for Robinson Crusoe stuff.

  After you watch the movie, I suggest watching Nerdwriter's video on it.

  Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 2024

  The first half is so annoying that I wanted to leave the movie. The second half kept me from leaving.

  It takes the story into interesting places but the execution is terrible.

  It does not respect your time or attention.
  "OMG, I am about to be captured!"
  or
  "OMG, I have been captured!"
  "Save me!"
  (Gets saved)
  "Thank you for saving me!"

  After the first sloppy execution of this, it kinda lost me. Then they did it several times more.…

Following
