I felt taken aback when I was watching it. Turkey has had multiple coup d'etats and have been under many military dictatorships in the past. Everyone around me talks about the people they knew that went missing or life during those times to the point its normalised I would say
So during the film it just made me have a deeper understanding of both the experiences of people in Brazil during those times as well as people back home.
Also Fernanda Torres shouldve won best actress in a leading role for the oscars
