Thinking about the writing… some moments are so sharp, so many so dull. I wish they had taken the first 10 minutes of this script and made a different movie.
The kid needs more stakes. And the “cool” thing is too intangible, doesn’t really have legs.
Love the main performances though, Frances and Billy especially.

The writing was amazing, if only a bit predictable and on the nose at times. But that’s a variable statement—what makes this movie great is its characters. Tashi is so multifaceted, understandable-yet-unpredictable.
