SXSW screening! I liked this movie a lot.
The director, most of the cast, crew and writer were in attendance and held a very cool Q and A. The writer spoke a looooot about how courageous it would be to rip out your heart and give it to someone. Major themes of “what do you even DO with your heart and feelings?!” Came up left and right. Flamin' Hot 2023
one of my favs of SXSW!
Eva Longoria nails it. The movie has freeze frames, great child actors, humor, community and lots of flavor. I couldn’t stop laughing and crying at the same time. Eva talked, in her post premier interview, of the importance of Latino and Hispanic representation behind the camera and in front. You can tell that the crew behind the camera really cared for the film and representation of culture in it.
