Boiling Point 2021
i had to rewatch this after seeing barantini's new project adolescence on netflix. this still beats anything else he's done out of the water, but it's a close call. every time i just think about this film, or the subsequent tv series, i feel anxious. tension is built masterfully here, and eventually explodes in a way that makes you feel genuinely sick. it's a perfect film, and it also makes the bear look like an absolute fairytale.
