Loved watching this with Nathan and Tyler before my interview. I felt empowered to have my face covered in sweat at all times.

Finished in the morning better in the daylight. Welles does amazing with the stylish lush plays on space. Perhaps entirely changed by his interview remark “we’ve seen the holocaust” to those bookish USC students asking why he changed the ending.
Cannot help but be repulsed and enraptured by Perkins’ unpredictable volatility between awkward meekness and indignant whining. Not entirely an innocent working man trapped in the unknowable system of the law but a bureaucrat with real capacity for an Unclear-defiance and self righteousness.
I watched this with my mother and sister in the 70mm. It began with such awareness that what follows will be an epic, which made me often uncomfortable. But when the opening credits scrolled horizontally in tiny font across the screen I had completely bought in. I love Adrien Brody. I love cigarettes. I love charcoal. I love light. I love the moments of green.
Would need to see again about the ending but so far I like it. So…
