I Walked with a Zombie 1943
This is a like cross between Du Maurier's Rebecca (Hitchcock film version), Wide Sargasso Sea and the BBCs Death in Paradise. Simple but respectable film considering when it came out.

Palm Springs 2020
This is essentially a cross between 'Groundhog Day' and 'Hot Fuzz'. Imagine a darker-humoured parody of Groundhog Day but it's set in the summer and there's more than one person stuck in the time loop, that's this film in a nutshell. It's like a rom-com ideal for lads, it's got that kind of silly/violent Deadpool humour so it's not as feminine or as female inclined as other rom-coms if that makes sense.
