  I honestly prefered this movie to the new one with Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson. Everything the characters do is linked to their pasts and traumas. They are deeply damaged by what happened to them, experiencing even survivor guilt. I was wondering during the whole movie if the lighthouse was real or not, if what was happening was inside Thomas' head or not. It was well executed in my opinion.

  At first, I thought the story would develop like one of Agatha Christie's stories. Something like "And then there were none" or even "Murder on the Orient Express" but I was very pleased to see how it actually developed in the second half of this movie. Great actors and great story. The end wasn't just a plot twist, it was a plot twist in another plot twist.
