  When I first saw Trash Humpers, it was at a film festival in Spain where they were doing a retrospect on Harmony Korine’s work. This was his newest film, the highlight of the festival. They flew him in to present it.

  top notch technically with amazing performances but made me feel terrible. felt a bit better listening to 70mm record their ep about it.

  tbh even though Midsommar was directed by a man, I’d consider it a better feminist text than this (only mentioning since it seems this was considered the feminist film of the 90s). The Piano is definitely worth the many academic papers that have been written on it, and bell hooks’s opinion resonates.
