  Including Spotlight, Mark Buffalo seems to be at his best when playing dull characters.

  If Erin Brockovich was a man, he'd be a boring yet still enticing Mark Buffalo, who'd only bother tackling the big bad bozos from the big bad company and not tackle day to day life with his children. Quite infuriating, both the practices of DuPont and his absent practices in his family life.
  Brockovich was more feel good, this just paints a more grim (and probably more realistic?) picture of going after giant corporations.
