  so.. i’m in a bit of a slump this year with film watching due to a number of reasons.. i find myself putting on a comforting cheesy chinese drama more often than not.

  most normal djinn amoureux experience 

  i’ll give this a rating when i have given thoughts to it (eta: i did!). i’ll simply list my cinematic experience hereafter: 

  1) people who can’t sit still for two hours drive me mad. all the fidgeting, popcorn eating when the film is SILENT, fidgeting, chattering, fidgeting, restless legs-ing almost drove me MAD

  2) i asked the guy in front of me to pretty please and so sorry to be a bother lower his head…

  this is grandiose, in all aspects and all sounds, which is why i give it three stars. the science fiction part of this movie is simply so well done i don’t think i’ve ever seen better. the sandworm rides were some of the best action scenes in any movie i’ve seen; and the fights so well executed, carrying the weight of the characters’ destiny in each move. hans zimmer delivers, not as well as he usually does, but enough to…
