The Usual Suspects 1995
Still fantastic, after all these years. It’s been since VHS. I fondly remember this film but noticed lots of things I didn’t pay attention, being that I was quite young when I initially saw this.
The dialogue is sharp. Somewhat dated, but still very gripping. I hadn’t realized what a delight Kevin Pollack is. He low-key gives the best performance in the film.
Bryan Singer can go fuck himself. 🖕🏻

Revisited after 20 years.
Man. What a film. This aged wonderfully and the dialogue is poignant for today’s societal perspectives. Visually? This might be one of Fincher’s best, in terms of editing and lighting. This film looks beautiful and paced so god damn well.
Pitt was fine. He definitely stretched in this role and showed more range that we know he has today. Freeman was outstanding and I’m honestly shocked this wasn’t an Oscar nominated performance.
I liked this film before.
