Reviewing this film after so long was a nice watch. This high lights Nolan's strengths as a director in executing on concepts and amazing set pieces. Unfortunately it also highlights some of his weaker traits in dialog and subtlety.
The film played with the concept of perception and reality very well with by leveraging the language of film as a narrative device as an analog for perception and reality.
Very good watch, one of Nolan's, recommend.

A well done meta film with great cinematography and awesome performances. So many quotable lines but many also much of the time. As the plot of the film and the writing of the fictional film progress the movie wraps itself into an ouroboros of metacommentary, satire, and subversion, sometimes in contradictory ways. Some of the meta-ness of the film does come out in ways that can be frustrating as a viewer but are still well executed and very clever.
Highly recommend, be prepared for some language of the time that is somewhat aware, but that might make it a tad bit more frustrating.

I forgot this movie was about the T1000 going to Mr. Monk and Jack frost so he can have kids but is then thwarted by Silk Specter, Puss in Boots, and Machete and then Danny Ocean shows up.

A truly iconic film. So much of the commentary is still relevant, maybe even more so, today.
Free will, the nature of reality, control, truth, identity, escapism, privacy, voyeurism, capitalism, corporate power, governance, self-determination, the commercialization of every aspect of life...so much can be said about this movie.
Ultimately among the Orwellian nightmare, there is a touching story of pure human determination and will breaking one free from their bonds.
Highly recommended watch and re-watch and another re-watch.
