  Underwhelming and on the nose.

  Mickey 17 is basically a Netflix miniseries, that intentionally avoids the philosophical and ethical questions regarding reincarnation (the voiceover quite literally says "we could get into the ethical aspects and blah blah blah, but let's not do that) in favor of cheap social-political commentary, that throws to the audience as many stupid clues as possible cause we are stupid and we don't get the references with the current political situation in the States.   It's interesting seeing sex portrayed as the main tool of communication not only between the characters of the movie, but also towards the audience. There's quite a sweet balance between disgust and beauty, a balance that the audience discovers together with the main characters as they spiral down a vortex of lust and ecstasy.

  I don't know if it was really my cup of tea, but I for sure consider it one of those movie everyone should watch at least once. Ultimately it's one and a half hour of sophisticated porn
