this movie had me rooting against love. I feel like the trailer catfished a good soundtrack that just did not deliver. i still like Charlie Day though

In the Heights 2021
A musical I have seen many times but pleasantly surprised by the extended cut on crave. Doesn’t change overall story but lots of the nuances in scenes come across very different than original. This movie musical narrowly avoids the “boring second act” trope. I’ll watch just for Anthony Ramos to sing “you’ve been shaking your ass for like half of the heights”. Lin Manuel Miranda is at his best when he rhymes Maxi Pads with Taxi Cabs.

Reese Witherspoon can do no wrong in my eyes. This movie makes me happy that I’m not married to a drug addicted music star cause I would not have the patience to deal with it. This movie left me stressed and sad for everyone involved.
