Romeo + Juliet 1996
I'm so sorry, I know this is a huge one for a lot of film people, but I hated this movie. The performances (besides Juliet) were really bland and for me made the movie so boring. I hated the modernization of everything but the script, it felt so pretentious. The cinematography and directing were honestly really great which makes it hard for me to rate this so low, but I just didn't have fun at all and it's literally Shakespeare.

The Royal Tenenbaums 2001
God this movie is so good. Wes Anderson is one of the most expressive directors out there and I think this movie encapsulates his style more than any of his other films. The line delivery is perfection, the colors are vibrant and so pleasing, and the story is just incredible! The opening montage is also just such a cute and very memorable scene. AWESOME MOVIE!!!

Magnolia 1999
Damn. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire last 2/3. The movie started very slow for me, introducing the characters took more time than I thought it needed to, but the first big sequence from this movie threw me all in! Stellar performances all around, and I honestly can't believe the score wasn't nominated for anything. The ending of this movie also had some exceptional symbolism which I loved!

The Lego Movie 2014
Wait why can Chris Pratt actually voice act in this movie what happened?
On a real note though, this movie is genuinely so creative, it makes me laugh and made me kinda emotional at the end (but maybe that's because I just started college). This movie also gets bonus points for Will Arnett playing Bojack Horseman voicing Lego Batman.
