I really liked this documentary! I was constantly awed and inspired by the fashion of NYC at this time period and the overall culture depicted in the documentary. I really appreciated the interview segments because I loved hearing the perspectives of the people that were a part of this movement. I also liked that they were in various locations because they held my attention - for example, the streets of NYC versus a boat. I also felt very educated throughout and I'm glad I watched this because I don't think it's something I would've been aware of outside of this class.
This is definitely a film I'm not going to forget anytime soon to say the least. In terms of the animation style, it was very exaggerated and I would use the word grotesque to describe it at time, to be honest. (When I say grotesque I don't mean ugly, necessarily, I mean grim and distorted).
