The Boy and the Heron 2023
It felt like this came out at the right time for me and for the world.
Crazy that the director did not read or listen to any news of the world while making this - he didn’t know about covid or the Ukraine war until he finished the film which is MAD.
But it made the film feel very PRESENT and it made me feel very present within it. Perfect exploration of love, karma, ancestry. As though I’m watching the lucid and fantastical behind the scenes of how and why our world functions. and i believe it???Translated from by -
