As a history nerd I’ve read a lot about nazi occupation and the Holocaust, but this one hits on a different level. A depressing yet deeply human story of survival, no forced drama, no heroics , just raw, quiet suffering. Adrien Brody goated shit. One of the most powerful WWII films I’ve seen.
