An awesome film. The pacing, the golden atmosphere of New England in autumn…. The soul grabbing dialogue. A coming of age movie capturing all - love, authenticity, conquering fears, and finding confidence. Beautiful cinematography.

The Godfather Part II 1974
A very interesting exploration of the current leader of mafia gang Mike Corleone as he is dealing with the heartbreaks of family betrayal, deathly business schemes, and the decay of the family. The writing is intriguing and poetic. Cinematography by Gordon Willis exudes perfectly arranged shots, with the signature “layered” look. Great coloring. The short interesting beginning and the ending shot bring sense of closure. Juxtaposing Mike’s life and the life of his father creates an emotional bond and explains why the family operates the way they do. I am just starting to write reviews.
