I liked it. But reading the negative reviews have confused me now. Perhaps not being aware of the true incidents around which this is based makes me not qualified to judge this one.

There are a lot of merits in this black comedy and I enjoyed it a second time too. However, the writing doesn't reach a moment of absolute brilliance and eventually you forget about the film, despite taking a serious note of it.

Brilliant in so many ways. The visual design as well as the stiff performances go really well with the story and the themes being explored: of control, of rebellion. The movie, a times, gives the illusion of a fable or a Biblical tale, but also a sci-fi movie, or a commentary on today's social media. Of course, it is also a coming-of-age film. Very rich and complex.

Throughout the film I was wondering - why turn this play into a movie? But by the time it ended, I was glad I watched it.
