This movie tried its best to be thought-provoking while also bringing up social and real-world issues. However, everything they brought up felt extremely shallow, which is a surprise to me because the movie is about simulations in simulations in worlds in worlds in universes in universes, and how we need empathy to survive.
Secondary thought is... why is Ash(Cara Gee) shown on the cover with a firearm when she only really saw any action once, and didn't use a weapon for it?

Before Dawn 2024
What a fantastic movie. I cannot understand critics ratings for it.
The movie follows an Australian boy who joins the military with his mates to fight in World War 2. It has some action, but isn't entirely focused on it. There is a ton of Aussie humour, as well as moments of guys just being guys, amidst the horrors surrounding them. It also showcases the mentality of soldiers as they cope and deal with all they have seen and done.
I may be biased, as I love Aussies, but I seriously enjoyed Before Dawn.Translated from by
