I should feel bad for laughing throughout the film. It's incredibly sad but some moments are just ridiculously evil that it made me laugh. Also, sometimes the amateurish editing would take away the seriousness from the scene. I do love the final act of the film. I think that's what sets it apart from generic sob stories. The ending really made it real for me and I think was the best way to end it.

I really loved the performances we got from Robert Pattinson, Mark Ruffalo, and Toni Collete. They genuinely made the movie so compelling with the absurdity of their characters. I also loved the world the film built. Unfortunately, I think the film is being held back by its ambition. By the end, it just feels like most ideas or plotlines didn't have the ending they deserved. I think the movie is really entertaining but it lacks Bong Joon-Ho's tight and thorough execution.

It’s a good movie if you’re feeling romantical with your male best friend (hint hint to the person I watched this with).

This movie takes a really refreshing take on the love triangle and really manages to build up the stakes. The plot is centered around a single tennis game and makes it the most dramatic retelling of a group of friends/lovers in history. Along with the story there’s some interesting camera work throughout the tennis game although I do feel like some scenes (especially some slo-mo scenes) dragged on for a little too long. Also there was a Chungking Express scene.

I'm glad that a movie pushing boundaries like this is getting the recognition it deserves. I think it's one of the most innovative and progressive movies of the year. I'll hold my praise for the storytelling since it will make this review 10 pages long but all I'll say it's a story that make you want to revisit it the moment it ends.
