To start the year with a film from my home state and that too, this way?!? WOW this film is absolutely stunning in every way. Sound design, story, the performances, writing. Satirical comedy peak without being too in your face, based out of colonial Assam till around 1983 post Assam Andolan (Assam agitation), beautifully shows a very fresh story with absolutely breathtaking cinematography. MUST WATCH NO MATTER WHERE YOU’RE FROM AND WHAT LANGUAGE YOU SPEAK. Assamese cinema deserves to be talked about more than ever 👏

Poor Things 2023
Not to take anything away from the ending but the film could have ended anywhere. Very strong social commentary on so many levels and points in the movie, very strong performances, outstanding visuals, amazing sound work. not the most amazing script at it’s core but kudos to the actors ig.

Entertaining with its Raju Hirani elements and good performances but with the topic of the movie there was so much intensity that it lacked. Maybe a part comedy did not do the intense scenes any justice as well. But sometimes, you just want to relax and watch an entertaining movie with good music, definitely a quintessential Hirani film with not the strongest overall plot.
