  Beneath the Darkness 2011

  Not bad! My one big quibble with the film is it apparently takes place in the only town in America in which nobody has cell phones with cameras (or even cell phones). Somewhat similar conceptually to Disturbia (and, of course, Rear Window), the fact that none of the 4 teenage protagonists ever thinks to document anything, these days, is hard to swallow. It's an increasingly annoying, glaring plot hole that could've been easily remedied by setting the story 10 years…

  This is one of the silliest movies I've seen in a very long time, but you'd have to be made of stone not to have fun watching it, because they clearly had a total blast making it. Probably more fun watching with friends than alone, but either way, a fun zombedy.

  If there was any doubt that M. Night Shyamalan had completely lost whatever storytelling talent he had, The Happening got rid of it. One of the single dumbest movies I've ever sat through.
